President Bush's attck dogs are snapping at Bill Clinton's heels over how he dealt with the draft, hoping voters will see the Democrat as unworthy of becoming the next commander-in-chief.
The Bush campaign seized on a memo compiled by an avid Bush supporter of her 76-year-old father's accusation that Clinton had failed to inform him of his "anti-military activities" when he sought help in joining an ROTC program. Bush spokesman Marlin Fitzwater brandished this to reporters traveling with Bush to Oklahoma and Georgia Thursday as proof that Clinton was "Mr. Doublespeak."In Colorado, Clinton refused to respond to dozens of shouted questions about the draft.
