James Albert "Al" Studstrup, 85, died Aug. 31, 1992 in Reno, Nevada.

Born May 30, 1907 in Colman, South Dakota to Peter and Mary Studstrup. Graduated from the School of Mines at Rapid City, South Dakota in 1929. In 1936 he married Christie Johnson in Salt Lake City and they moved to McGill, Nevada, where he worked as Assistant Smelter Superintendent for Kennecott Copper Corp, until he retired and moved to Reno. Member of the Ely, Nevada Masonic Lodge and the Golden Lodge in Reno, Nevada.Survived by his wife of Reno, Nevada; a daughter, Kay Vasilias, Brigham City; a son, James W. Studstrup, Salt Lake City; sixgrandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, Sept. 3, 1992, 2 p.m. in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy.

The family suggests contributions be made in his memory to Hospice of Salt Lake, 2970 South Main Street, SLC, Utah 84115.
