Law firms are certainly not timid about marketing their services. But in Philadelphia, apparently, many firms have taken the marketing strategy to new heights. Or is it depths?

A federal appeals court recently ruled that a personal-injury firm that advertises its phone number as 1-800-INJURY-1 cannot stop other firms from using the word "injury" in their phone numbers.That ruling cleared the way for a number of INJURY-related numbers to pop up in the Philadelphia Yellow Pages. The City of Brotherly Love also has law firms listed under DEFENSE, DIAL LAW, LEGAL 10 and 1-800-McCLAIM.
