W. JORDAN WANTS THOUGHTS ON WHERE TO PUT STREET LIGHTS

The city is getting ready to install 100 new street lights in 17 subdivisions but would like to hear from residents about additional locations.

Residents are being asked to contact the city's engineering division by Sept. 9 with their recommendations for possible new light placements or if they have any questions about the specific locations for the lights already planned for installation.Interested residents should call Clarke McFarlane at 561-5439.

The 100 lights that are being installed are being placed primarily at intersections.

The subdivisions slated to get lights are: Jordan Highlands, County Squire, New Castle, Wood Cove, Sunburst Village, West Jordan Green, Normandy Mobile Home Estates, Magnolia West, Western Hills, Copper View, Crystal Hills, Purple Hills, Bingham Estates, Dixie Valley, McHeather, Bunker Hill and Noble Heights.

The City Council plans to approve the list of 100 lights at its Sept. 15 meeting.
