Bird-watchers scan the skies during the 1992 Hawk Watch at Snowbird. The watch, on 11,000-foot Hidden Peak, was co-sponsored by Tracy Aviary. About 30 people attended a lecture and slide show, then rode the Snowbird tram up the mountain to identify local birds of prey in the skies and valleys. Afterward many hiked down the trail. Two more Saturday Hawk Watches are planned, on Sept. 26 and Oct. 3. The cost is $12, and each session is limited to 30 people. Call Snowbird Ski Resort at 521-6040, ext. 4080, for more information.
