Joseph Glendon Knotts, 84, of Eureka, died at Mountain View Hospital, Payson, Utah, September 20, 1992, of a heart attack.

He was born June 16, 1908, in Eureka, to Daniel Joseph and Lucy May Packard Knotts. He married Lucille Olive Carlson, April 8, 1935 at Salt Lake City, Utah. She died June 11, 1988.He was a member of the LDS Church. Member of the Tintic Lodge #711 B.P.O. of ELKS, Eureka. Member of the Eureka Senior Citizens. He worked as a metal miner in the Tintic Mining District. He and his wife operated Lucille's Cafe for many years. He enjoyed animals, horses and hunting.

He is survived by a son, Carl G. Knotts, Spanish Fork; four sisters, Madge K. Burraston, Goshen; Margaret K. Lucas and Delores K. Robinson, both of Salt Lake City; and Wanda Knotts of Oakland, Calif.; two brothers-in-law, Don Carlson, Salt Lake City; Lloyd Carlson, Placerville, Calif.; two sisters-in-law, June Jones, Oregon; Norma Carlson, Orem, Utah.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wed., September 23, 1992 at the Eureka LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 7-8 p.m. at Holladay Hills Funeral Home, 66 So. 300 East, Santaquin, or at the Eureka Chapel an hour prior to services on Wednesday. Interment will be in the Goshen City Cemetery.
