The Sundance Ski Team will host its annual recruiting meeting Thursday, Sept. 24, at 7:30 p.m. at the Creekside Cafeteria at Sundance. Skiers of intermediate ability and above who are interested in alpine ski racing are invited to attend.

Two programs will be offered by the team - the U.S. Ski Association Team, which is for more experienced skiers, and the Development Ski Team, which is for younger, less-experienced skiers who want an introduction to ski racing. The USSA Team will train on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons as well as Saturdays. The Development Team is a Saturday-only program that begins during Christmas vacation. The Sundance Ski Team participates in the Intermountain Division of the U.S. Ski Association, a national sanctioning body. Racers earn points on a national ranking system that can lead to a spot on a college ski team or even the national ski team.

Those unable to attend the recruiting meeting may call Dave Bauer, head coach, at 375-6534, or Scott Nyman, director of the Sundance Ski School, at 225-4107, for additional information.
