ACCESS TO TAXOL MAY INCREASE SOON

More women will be able to get the experimental cancer drug Taxol to treat advanced ovarian cancer and within a few weeks it may be available for breast cancer patients, the National Cancer Institute in Washington, D.C., said Tuesday.

Current tests indicate it is effective in treating ovarian cancers and supplies of the drug have expanded, the NCI said in announcing expansion of the Taxol trarieer. It said it expects in a few weeks to include the experimental treatment to include advanced breast cancer.
