Hildred Lena Nielsen DeLany Kerns, 85, of Monroe, Utah, died September 23, 1992 in Richfield, Utah.

She was born May 18, 1907 in Bingham Canyon, Utah to Amos Lamp and Annie Rickenbach Nielsen. She married Charles William DeLany August 17, 1924 in Los Angeles, Calif.; he died July 13, 1946. Marriage later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple September 4, 1987. She married Everett R. Kerns in 1962; he died November 11, 1984. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers where she served six years as South Sevier County Captain. She was a member of the Monroe Literose Club.She is survived by one daughter, three sons and their spouses, Charles William DeLany and wife, Marianne, Elsinore; Barbara Anna DeLany Cook and husband, Dan, Monroe; Richard Nielsen DeLany, Freedom, Calif.; Dennis Lee DeLany, Monroe; 20 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Bettie Ella DeLany; two sisters, Rita Nielsen and Maxine Christensen; two brothers, Amos Lyle Nielsen, and Robert Hooten.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 26, 1992, 11 a.m. in the Monroe 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 140 South Main Street, Monroe. Friends may call at the Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary in Richfield, Friday evening 7-9 p.m. and at the ward chapel in Monroe Saturday, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial, Glenwood Cemetery.
