The National Federation of Press Women is holding its annual fall board meeting today through Sunday, Sept. 24-27, at the down-town Hilton.
This marks the first time the national press organization has met in Utah. More than 75 members from 37 state are expected to attend. The organization has a membership of more than 4,500 women.Utah Press Women will host the event, with executive officers, appointed directors and state affiliate presidents attending.
Margaret Smoot, first woman spokesperson for Brigham Young University, will present the keynote address.
Various workshops, presentations and tours to points of interest and businesses along the Wasatch Front are a part of the four-day schedule. David Porter of the Utah Travel Council will conduct a four-day working tour for travel writers to the national and state parks in southern Utah at the conclusion of the conference.
