CHARTER UNDERMINES CONSTITUTION

The purpose of the Constitution of the United States, according to the preamble, is to "secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity."

For some time, there has been a move afoot to replace the United States Constitution with the United Nations Charter. We have fought every war from Korea on under that charter in direct violation of the Constitution. These people claim that a treaty supersedes the Constitution, which is so ridiculous that even a child should know better. Any treaty that would decrease the liberty of the sovereign citizens of this country in favor of some other country or group of countries is automatically null and void.

George Washington, the father of this country, wrote in his farewell address as follows: "The great rule for us, in regard to foreign nations, is, in extending our commercial relations. To have with them as little political connection as possible. So far as we have already formed engagements, let them be fulfilled with perfect good faith. - Here let us stop."
