MURRAY SINGER TO PERFORM AT BENEFIT CONCERT SATURDAY

Contemporary-country recording artist Mark McLelland will perform a benefit concert Saturday at 8 p.m. at Cottonwood High School.

All proceeds of the concert will go to a fund for Jennifer Ortega, the daughter of Kevin and Teresa Baumgarner, Midvale. Jennifer, 14, needs a liver transplant that is expected to cost $80,000 to $100,000 more than the family's insurance will cover, said McLelland's manager and songwriter Marie Vosgerau.McLelland, who lives and has a recording studio in Murray, is a new artist with Allegheny Records. His most recent single, "Lonesome Doesn't Live Here Any More" is the title track to the CD of the same name and has done well on the country charts, Vosgerau said.

Cameo III will be the opening act for Saturday's concert. Tickets are available at the door for a donation of $8.
