Lucille Worthen Peterson, 88 of Cedar Fort, died September 24, 1992 at her son's home in St. Anthony, Idaho following a lingering illness.

Born July 31, 1904 in St. George, Utah to George W. and Leanora Woodbury Worthen. Married James E. Peterson May 22, 1931 in the St. George LDS Temple; he died May 19, 1979. The youngest of nine children, she was educated in St. George, graduated from Dixie College and BYU Taught shool for 17 years in Washington and Utah Counties. Postmistress in Cedar Fort for several years. Well known singer, having been with the Singing Mothers' Choir that toured Europe and England. She sang for many funerals, weddings, and Church activities. Served in many LDS and civic positions.Survivors: sons, Carey G. and wife, Ranee Peterson, Nephi; Paul and wife, Margery Peterson, American Fork; Jay R. and wife, Judy Peterson, St. Anthony, Idaho; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Preceeded in death by a son, Sherwin James Peterson and three infant sons.

Funeral, Monday, Sept. 28, 1992, 11 a.m.,

Cedar Valley LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Wing Mortuary, Lehi, Sunday 7-9 p.m. and Monday at the Church in Cedar Fort, one hour prior to services.

Burial, Cedar Fort Cemetery.
