TRIO OF BACKERS FUNDING `DIE HARD 3'

It will take a trio of backers - 20th Century Fox, Disney and Cinergi Productions - to finance one of the most expense action-adventure films in Hollywood annals, a $60 million sequel to "Die Hard."

"Die Hard 3" is being adapted from "Troubleshoot," a script in development by Larry Gordon's Lago Entertainment. The story was originally written by James Haggin and re-written by Peter Iliff. This time around we find Bruce Willis's tough cop vacationing with his wife (Bonnie Bedelia) on a cruise ship in the Caribbean when the liner is seized by bomb-toting terrorists.
