2 Y. PROFESSORS TO BEGIN FULBRIGHT LEAVES SEPT. 10

Brigham Young University communications faculty members William Silcock and Gordon Whiting will report Thursday, Sept. 10, on their Fulbright leaves to Ireland and Hungary during a Communications Executive Symposium.

The 11 a.m. event in the de Jong Concert Hall, Harris Fine Arts Center, is open to the public.Silcock took a 10-month leave of absence from his duties as director/manager of news and public affairs at KBYU-TV (Broadcast Services) to lecture at Dublin City University in Ireland.

Whiting, an 18-year veteran professor in the department of communications and former department chairman, served as Fulbright lecturer at several Budapest universities at ELTE University, the Economics University, the World Trade College and the Hungarian Journalism School during his one-year stay in Budapest.
