Attorney Alan Dershowitz says some friends gave him Woody Allen as a present for his 40th birthday. It's ironic, since the Harvard Law professor is now representing Mia Farrow in her bitter custody battle with the actor-director. But Dershowitz says 14 years ago, some friends arranged for him to meet Allen as a birthday present because he admired the filmmaker. "We kibbitzed for about a half-hour. I remember he got a kick out of the fact that he was my birthday present and I remember him saying that if he could get someone for his birthday he would pick Louis Armstrong or Jimmy Hoffa." Dershowitz says he and Allen corresponded, and a few years later he again met Allen with Farrow. He told the Boston Herald he suspects tha's why Farrow hired him. "I think she wanted me to try to talk some sense into this man. I tried." Allen is suing for custody of his three children with Farrow.
