BROOKS LEADS ZOKOL BY 1 STROKE IN MILWAUKEE

Mark Brooks took a one-stroke lead over Richard Zokol Saturday in the Greater Milwaukee Open at Tuckaway Country Club.

Brooks stands at 15-under-par 201 after shooting 65 Saturday, 66 Friday and 70 Thursday. Zokol is at 14-under 202 with scores of 64 Saturday, 71 Friday and 68 Thursday.Zokol led the GMO after two rounds in 1982, his first year on tour. He wore headphones on the course, earning him the nickname "Disco Dick."

He said he lost the lead when he stopped listening to music and tuned in to radio coverage of the GMO. Calvin Peete won and Zokol finished in a fifth-place tie.

At Grand Rapids, Mich., Bruce Crampton made birdies on 11 of the last 14 holes for an 8-under 63 and a one-stroke lead after 36 holes at Elks Country Club's Highlands course.

Crampton has a two-round total of 132, 10-under.
