Salt Lake Mayor Deedee Corradini donates several of her suits (size 8), blouses and shoes (size 9) Friday to help women who have little money and need jobs. The "Women to Women Career Clothing Drive," a nonprofit effort organized by the Junior League, the Volunteer Center and the mayor's office, will be accepting donated clothes each Friday during September. The clothes must be in style and barely used, and they must be suitable to wear in a business setting. On Oct. 3, about 600 people hand-picked by social service agencies will be allowed to select about eight to 10 of the donated outfits each. Donations are accepted Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Pyke Manufacturing, 1473 S. 700 West. Jewelry, scarves, handbags, hosiery and lingerie also are accepted.
