Nellie Fredricksen Call Ellis was born June 2, 1905 in Penrose, Utah to Conrad T. and Clara P. Fredricksen. She died Sept. 6, 1992 at the age of 87 in Sandy, Utah.

She was born a twin and together they weighed 3 pounds. Her twin, Lillian, passed away early on, while still an infant, but Nellie survived her premature birth in days when incubators weren't even invented. She slept in a shoe box lined with cotton that was warmed by the oven. She was a member of the LDS Church.Nellie lived a long life and raised six children. She married Leslie D. Call January ll, 1924; later divorced. She married Raymond J. Ellis; who later died in Salt Lake.

She is survived in death by children, Mrs. June Call Tidwell-Waylett and spouse Ed, Salt Lake City; Mr. Raymond Dean Ellis, Mesa, Arizona; Mr. Bob Ellis and spouse Gwen, Sandy; and Mrs.

Janice Ellis Golding, West Valley City; 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren survive their grandmother. Her surviving sisters are Gladys Hanson, Kaysville; Virlie Jeppesen, Tremonton; and Virgie Rose and spouse Richard, of Overton, Nevada. Preceded in death by her parents; sisters Amy, Ella, Pearl, twin Lillian, and Ruth; brothers, Lloyd and Dell; and two of her children, Jay Call and Phyllis Call Simpson.

Funeral services Thursday, September 10, at

1 p.m., Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call Wednesday evening 6-8 p.m., and Thursday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
