Bernard Arlen Heiny, M.D., our beloved husband, father, son, brother and community servant returned home to his Father in Heaven on Sept. 7, 1992, 1992, at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful, Utah.

He was born on Oct. 15, 1938, in Sterling, Colorado, an only son of T. Virgil and Helen Georgia Hurst Heiny. He married Cynthia Gandy Heiny Sept. 1, 1977 in Mill Valley, Calif. He is a graduate of Davis High School, and 1956 Class Valedictorian and also University of Utah Medical School. He was a licensed physician, specializing in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Facial Plastic Surgery and Allergy.In 1973, he began his practice in Bountiful, Utah and quickly grew to love the area and the people. He was always there for us when we needed him. We hope he's found the peace he was seeking. We'll miss him.

He is survived by his wife, Cyndi; two sons and three daughters; John A. Heiny, Salt Lake City; Todd Price, Farmington; Laura Heiny; Mrs. Scott (Annie) Taylor, Portland, Oregon; Amy Price, Farmington; his father, T. Virgil Heiny; and a sister, Joyce A. Heiny. Preceded in death by his mother, Helen Georgia Hurst.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 11, 1992, 11 a.m., Oakridge Stake Center, 1988 South 350 East, Kaysville, (west on Shepard Lane over viaduct). Friends may call Thursday evening 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and at the church, 9:45-10:45 a.m., prior to services.

Interment: Lakeview Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the University of Utah Medical School.
