The old Stephen Wade automobile dealership at 500 S. Main in Salt Lake City is little more than a pile of rubble after its snow-covered roof caved in Sunday night. No one was inside the abandoned building when it collapsed. Heavy snows are blamed for a number of collapsed roofs and more could cave in, according to Bountiful Fire Capt. Bob Stell. "It's deceptive now. People look up on their roof, and the volume of the snow has decreased. . . . But the weight is greater," he said. See wrap-up on B6.
