Ivan Reed Sorenson, 83, died January 23, 1993 in Gunnison, Utah.
He was born December 13, 1909 in Centerfield, Utah to Niels Peter and Sophia Amelia Sorensen Sorenson. He married Edith Jane Goode on March 28, 1936 in Nephi, Utah.He worked for WPA, LA Young, Provo City, Gunnison Sugar Factory and was also a selfemployed dairy farmer, belonging to WDCI. He was a Democratic party chairman and also served as president of the Willow Creek Irrigation Company.
Survived by his wife, Edith; children, Mrs. Ned (Norma) Christensen, Mrs. Ronald (Lois) Argyle, Mrs. Keith (Leah) Bird, Mrs. William (Helen) Hoffman, Faye Martell, Reed and Donna Sorenson; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be January 26, 1993 at 12 noon in the Centerfield LDS Chapel. Friends may call Monday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Axtell LDS Church on Tuesday from 11-11:45 a.m. prior to services at the Centerfield ward church. Burial, Centerfield Cemetery, under the direction of Warren R. Jensen Funeral Home.
