Auditions have been scheduled for the following productions and ensembles:

- "FF: THE BRONTES," Salt Lake Acting Company's world premiere of a new play by Aden Ross, being directed by C. Lynn Frost of Orem.

Auditions will be Saturday, Jan. 30, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sunday, Jan. 31, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., with roles available for four women and two men, ages 20-50. Scripts are available for checkout from the theater. To schedule an audition appointment, call 363-0526. Walk-ins will also be accepted.

"FF: The Brontes," the first play to be commissioned under SLAC's New Play Development Program, is a modern interpretation examining the famous literary family, their relationships and characters through the last nine years of their lives together. It opens March 17.

- "SCOOTER WELLS, BOY DETECTIVE AND THE SECRET OF SCULL COVE," on Saturday, Jan. 30, at 10 a.m. at Desert Star Playhouse, 4861 S. State St., Murray. Roles are available for five men and three women in the musical comedy, scheduled to run March 11-May 8. Auditioners should bring a short prepared musical selection (preferably upbeat) and a short comedy monologue. An accompanist will be provided. A current resume and recent photograph are requested, but not required.

- ADDITIONAL TRYOUTS for the newly organized touring and concert choirs of the University of Utah's International Children's Choir School have been scheduled for Monday, Jan. 25, at Stoker School, Bountiful (75 E. 200 South, from 4 to 8 p.m. in Room 11, and on Tuesday, Jan. 26, in Room 250 of the West Institute Building, 1340 E. 300 South (across University Avenue from the Pioneer Memorial Theatre building), from 5 to 6 p.m.

Other times can also be arranged if these are not convenient.

The concert choir is for youths 8-15 years of age, with the separate touring choir for those 9-16.
