O'Donnell, now 22, didn't have to do any reseach for the role - he just dredged up memories of his own awkward adolescence."When I was in high school, I was the smallest kid for three years," O'Donnell told Parade magazine. "I never went out with girls, because I was shorter than them all, and I was real self-conscious."
