Rep. Jim Hansen, R-Utah, has a new appointment on the House Intelligence Committee. Rep. Bob Michel, R-Ill., House Republican leader, made the announcement in Washington on Friday.

"Jim Hansen's work on the Armed Services Committee has earned him tremendous respect in the military community," said Michel. The appointment will last through the 105th Congress.
