A pre-filed bill (SJR2) places elected officials in a position that will let Utahns know if our votes really count. The bill is a recall measure. If it is passed, it will allow voters under certain conditions to remove elected officials.

The bill should pass by a 100 percent vote. Why? Because by approving this legislation, our House and Senate will send a message that they intend to be honest and keep campaign promises and that they do not fear being recalled. If the measure fails to pass or is passed but made so difficult to implement that it is practically useless, then Utah voters will know that our trust has been misplaced.

Let's get this bill passed. Call your district senator and representative and let them know where we voters stand. This bill will help make our votes count.
