Willis Marshall Stuart, age 89, died January 21, 1993 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born September 24, 1903 in Uintah, Weber County, Utah, a son of Alba A. and Ella Wilhelmson Stuart. Attended grade school and graduated from the Oneida Stake Academy in Preston, Idaho. Graduated from the University of Utah with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering; member of Tau Beta Phi honorary engineering fraternity. Worked for four years with International Harvester as a bookkeeper and over 38 years with the Long Lines Dept. of AT&T, 24 years as a supervisor in the Long Lines Dept. and at times as an instructor in technical classes in various cities, including Chicago, Kansas City, Denver, Omaha, and San Francisco.Active member of the LDS Church serving as Teachers quorum president in the Aaronic Priesthood, Elders quorum president and Seventies quorum president. He also taught Special Interest, Gospel Doctrine, and Aaronic Priesthood classes. He filled a London Temple Mission followed by five years as an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple. Served 25 years on the Ensign Stake High Council with nine years as stake executive secretary. For the past 15 years he served as an assistant ward clerk of the Ensign Third Ward.
After his sister Marie retired, they traveled extensively, visiting the Holy Land eleven times with trips to various countries enroute and surrounding; also to Mexico, Central American, and the USA. She preceded him in death January 13, 1991.
Funeral services Wednesday, January 27th, at 12 noon, Ensign 3rd Ward Chapel, 435 K Street, where friends may call 10:45-11:45 a.m. Burial, Salt Lake City Cemetery under the direction of Larkin Mortuary.
