Joseph Gus Houston, 32, died January 24, 1993 at home in Francis, Utah.

Born August 6, 1960 in Coalville, Utah to Fred L. and Merlyn Bunot Houston. Attended both North Summit and South Summit and graduated from South Summit High School in 1978. Married Jill Stembridge Woolstenhulme September 13, 1986 in Francis, Utah. Served on Francis Town Board for four years and as Mayor of Francis for two years, which he dearly enjoyed doing.Gus loved his family and friends and enjoyed being with them. He loved being outdoors and held jobs which allowed him to be outside.

Survived by wife; stepdaughters, Tanya, Ruby, and Tasia Woolstenhulme; stepson, Rye W. Woolstenhulme; and son, Jay G. Houston, all of Francis; mother; three sisters, Pamela Rae Bates, Cathleen Houston, of Francis; and Peggy (Kelly) McRae, Kamas; parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Elden (Nita) Stembridge, Peoa; grandmothers, Arva (Mrs. Joseph) Bunot of Francis; and Grace (Mrs. Guss) Houston of Canyon City Pueblo, Colo. Preceded in death by father; two grandfathers; and cousins, Justin and Jeremy Henson.

Gus, thank you for letting us be a part of your life for this short time. You taught us how to be a family. We will miss you very much. Your loving ways and your teasing manner will stay in our hearts forever. God Bless and take care.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 28, 1993, at the Francis Ward Church, 229 East 2200 South, Francis, Utah, where friends may call Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. and from 9:45 to 10:45 on Thursday prior to services. Burial, Francis Cemetery.
