New York City Consumer Affairs Commissioner Mark Green said recall of these possibly toxic products was nationwide and indicated the lead-leaching problem was present in 16 percent of all everyday dishes tested and in 100 percent of new china from China.Excessive intake of lead can cause physical and mental retardation, especially in children.
