Christopher Aaron Holmes, Provo, is among 301 students honored by the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts.
The Brigham Young University student graduated from Provo High School last spring. He won the Utah State Fair vocal competition, the Mozart Meistersainger Voice competition and the Utah Valley Symphony Young Artists competition. He won second place in the National Association of Teachers of Singing competition and while in high school was consistently recognized as an outstanding young vocalist.He is attending BYU on a four-year talent scholarship.
The young artists recognized by the arts foundation receive scholarships in varying amounts to further their education. Holmes' award was for $500.
