The driver-improvement program of the American Association of Retired Persons has announced the February schedule of classes in Salt Lake area medical centers.

The eight-hour classroom instruction will be held in two half-day sessions at:- 10th East Senior Citizens Center, 237 S. 1000 East, Monday and Wednesday, Feb. 8 and 10, from 8 a.m.- noon. Phone: 298-5614.

- St. Mark's Hospital, 1200 E. 3900 South, fifth floor, room 506T, Saturday Feb. 13, and Saturday, Feb. 20, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Phone: 268-7422.

- Bountiful Golden Years Center, 726 S. 100 East, Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 15 and 16, from 12:30 p.m.- 4:30 p.m. Phone 295-3470.

Participants will review the rules of the road and discuss adverse driving conditions and traffic hazards and learn about the effects of aging and medications on driving.

There is no driving test involved, and the cost is $8 per person. Qualified graduates will receive a discount on auto insurance.
