The city needs 21 residents to serve on the West Jordan Citizen Budget Advisory committee. Since 1987, city officials have regarded the committee as an important source of citizen input in preparing the annual budget. Committee suggestions have improved city services and saved tax money.
The committee will be divided into three subcommittees: general government and revenues, public safety and public works.
The committee will start work in March, with subcommittees meeting once or twice a week for three to four weeks.
