About 25,000 people in predominantly Muslim Bangladesh began marching to India on Saturday to protest the building of a makeshift Hindu temple on the site of a mosque razed last month in northern India.

"Our faith is in danger. We must protect it with our blood," protesters shouted as they marched through the streets of Dhaka on their way to the border, about 120 miles away.At a rally before the march, speakers demanded that the Indian government immediately rebuild the Babri mosque in Ayodhya where it stood for more than 500 years until Hindu fanatics tore it down Dec. 6.
