Engelina (Lila) Steenblik Adamson, age 83, passed away Saturday, October 16, 1993 in Bountiful, Utah.

She was born August 18, 1910 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Frederik and Janna Tempelman Steenblik. She married John Henry Adamson March 28, 1937 in Salt Lake City. He was killed in World War II on January 2, 1944. Lila was an active member in the LDS Church.As a volunteer, she served over 7,000 hours for the LDS Hospital, and many hours for the Travelers Aid Society. She was a member and officer in the Rose Ramblers Society, and she has traveled extensively throughout the world. She was an accomplished seamstress, kept a beautiful garden, and was well known for her delicious divinity.

She is survived by a son, Allen G. (Carolyn) Adamson; and a daughter, Mrs. Al L. (Marcia ) Baker, both of Bountiful; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also surviving are brothers and sisters, Fanny Kienitz, Roelof, Fred, Jennett Osmond, Mary Olsen, Pearl Houston, Ruby Hanks and Naomi Fetzer. She is preceded in death by her husband; son-in-law, David R. Taylor; and brothers, Gerrit and Joe.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 20, 1993, at 1 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, where friends may call on Wednesday from 12 noon to 12:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
