Mary Dredge Crowther, 91, died October 15, 1993 at Orem Utah.

Born August 17, 1902 in Malad City, Idaho, the daughter of Jesse H. Dredge and Eliza Rosetta Kunz Dredge. Married Junius L. Crowther August 19, 1925 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Mary served a mission in Toronto, Canada and later with Junius in the Western States Mission. Attended U of U, taught school in Malad, and served in many church positions, including ward Relief Society president, stake Young Women president. Very active genealogist and trainer and involved in civic affairs.

Preceded in death by son, Junius L. Crowther, Jr.; parents; two sisters, Cecelia and Hettie; four brothers, Jesse, Wilford, Nathan, and David.

She leaves her husband; two sons and four daughters, Wilford P. (Marjean) of Bountiful; Ray Sheldon (Sharolyn) of Stanton, Calif.; Carol (Dee) Sharp and Vella (Keith) Perkins of Orem; Carma (Sterling) Redd of Salt Lake; Rosemary (Leo) Wilcox of Farmington; as well as 25 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by one brother, Calvin Dredge; six sisters, Ellen Castleton, Thelma Gibbs, Ruth Swanson, Rose Ward, Norma Hill, and Elaine Mills.

Funeral services will be held October 18, 1993 at 1 p.m. in the Aspen 2nd Ward Chapel, 1485 North 800 West, Orem. Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street, Orem, and also Monday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the ward chapel. There will also be a viewing Tuesday, October 19, at 12 noon in the Malad 1st Ward Chapel, with interment to follow in the Malad City Cemetery, Malad Idaho.
