Jeffrey Gaia, president and chief executive officer of Bank One Utah, has been honored as 1993 Corporate Advocate of the Year by the United State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
The national award honors Bank One Utah's involvement in Utah's Hispanic community. During the past year, the bank has contributed to and supported Hispanic community projects and special events. The bank also developed and implemented programs to help educate local Hispanics on managing their personal and professional finances."We're proud to win the award this year, but our involvement in the Hispanic community is not new to us," Gaia said. "Many of our management-level employees are Hispanic and they are instrumental in helping us stay in constant touch with the needs of the local Hispanic community."
Bank One Utah is a member of the Utah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and a recent corporate participant in the 1993 Cinco de Mayo Celebration in Salt Lake City and Midvale.
