Edwin G. Brown, 85, died peacefully at home October 26, 1993 after a long illness.

Edwin was born in Salt Lake City August 28, 1908 to George and Siddy Hennefer Brown. He married Muriel Joy Smith August 7, 1942 and shortly thereafter entered the U.S. Navy, serving for three years and being involved in some of the heaviest sea battles of World War II. He was a postal service employee for 37 years, retiring as supervisor in 1973.He is survived by his wife of 51 years; stepdaughters, Betty (Dick) Coltrin, Edmonds, Washington; and Teddy (Lynn) Fullmer, Salt Lake City; seven grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and a sister, Marge Bissett, Reno, Nevada. He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, November 1, 1993 in the Stratford Ward Chapel, 2605 South 1500 East, where friends may call 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Funeral directors, Wasatch Lawn Mortuary.
