Center Patrick Ewing's strained neck may keep him out of the New York Knicks lineup for Saturday night's game with the Utah Jazz, and perhaps beyond.

"I'm not playing anymore until it's better, however long it takes," said Ewing, who had 15 points and 10 rebounds when the 7-1 Knicks lost Wednesday at San Antonio.

Ewing, who has complained of muscle spasms in his neck, was X-rayed Thursday to determine if the injury was more serious.
