A Salt Lake market was robbed of an unknown amount of goods and cash by two men who hogtied the clerk Thursday night.

About 10:56 p.m., the men walked into the Corner Market, 950 W. 1000 North, and forced the clerk into the back room where they tied the clerk's legs and hands with his own belt and twine, according to a police report. The men then emptied the cash register and made "many trips in and out of the store" before escaping in the bed of a pickup truck driven by another man, according to the report.

When police stopped the truck, the two men in back escaped on foot. The driver was taken into custody on suspicion of aggravated robbery, the report said.
