Paul Duane Perkins passed away from pancreatic cancer on November 17, 1993.

Born March 8, 1933 to Howard Edward and Maude Larsen Perkins in Standardville, Utah. Paul's family lived in Spring Canyon. He attended schools in Helper, and graduated from Carbon High School. He earned his B.S. from the U of U, in Electrical Engineering in 1960, after serving in the U.S. Air Force as an electronics countermeasures operator on B 36's. Paul and Madge were married on October 11, 1952, and were sealed for eternity in June 1971.Paul worked in the field of electronics for Texas Instruments, in Dallas; Hercules, in Salt Lake; Honeywell in Minnesota; and as manager of the Printed Circuit Facility for Unisys, in Salt Lake. In the course of his military and professional careers, Paul traveled extensively, making friends all over the world. A very gregarious person, he loved people, and especially children; helping to care for their 100 foster children in seven and a half years.

Paul was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many capacities, including Sunday School teacher, ward and stake YMMIA president, and first counselor in the Elder's Quorum, while the family lived in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Paul is survived by his mother, Ruth P. Williams, East Carbon; his wife, Madge; daughters: Jan P. Holt (Tom), Julie Perkins; sons: Paul Michael, and Jeffrey John; grandchildren: Thomas Michael, Scott Campbell, and Sara Christina Holt, and Tiffany Anwar Perkins; brothers and sisters: Donna P. Mantle (Ray), C.J. Blackburn (Sharon), of Salt Lake, Lola Nackos (Charles); sister-in-law, Geri J. Perkins (Widow of Max), Springville; Van L. Perkins (Kathy), of Santa Fe, New Mexico; Darleen B. Harrison (John), Ogden, Kansas; and a wonderful extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Max, Neal, and Rex and sister, Carol.

His family will receive friends and family on Sunday, November 21, 1993 from 7-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary; and for one hour prior to services which will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Sandy Silvercrest Chapel (9150 So. 1300 East). Interment in Heber City Cemetery; under direction of Olpin Mortuary, Heber City.

Paul requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to The Children's Home Society of Minnesota, 2200 Como Ave., St. Paul, Minnesota 55108, or to The American Cancer Society of Utah.
