Recently, I stopped at a carwash during my lunch break. While I was there, a red auto pulled up and the driver asked me if I wanted to buy some wholesale electronics that he had in the back of his car. I knew that they were probably stolen and told him that I wasn't interested.
As the car pulled away I wrote down his license plate number and called the Salt Lake Police Department as soon as I got back to work. When I called, I was transferred three different times and had to repeat my story each time. I was finally transferred to the burglary detective division, and the phone rang and rang and no one answered. I tried calling back three times after that with no response.
I was very disappointed with the way the Salt Lake Police Department handled this situation. I hope that they don't handle all crime activities with this same level of interest, enthusiasm and professionalism.
