It's been a long time since Wyoming lost by 20 points to Colorado State.
Some 52 years, to be exact. The cause of Wyoming's first 20-point loss to Western Athletic Conference foe Colorado State since 1941 can be explained by a Cowboy team that was out of sync and a Ram team that dominated on both offense and defense, said Cowboy coach Joe Tiller.
"From the opening kickoff we were a football team out of sync," Tiller said after the Rams' 41-21 defeat of Wyoming. "(Colorado State) dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. We could not slow down the run. We could not pressure the passer. That combination doesn't give you much of a chance to win."
Wyoming (7-3 overall, 5-2 in the Western Athletic Conference) was unable to stop Ram quarterback Anthony Hill as he enjoyed his best passing day of the season, completing 14 of 20 passes for 271 yards and three touchdowns.
