Marjorie Hanna De Waal, age 80, died November 20, 1993 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born September 10, 1913 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Andrew Hampton and LaPreal Geneva Peterson Burt. Married John D. De Waal in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a member of the LDS Church.Mom's favorite pastime was gardening. She had a beautiful yard and kept it in immaculate condition. She also enjoyed movies, mystery stories, fishing, baseball, tennis, dancing, and playing the piano and ukulele. But most of all, she enjoyed being with her family. She had a marvelous sense of humor. Chuckling was her trademark.
Everyone who knew Mom loved her, especially her children. She was a remarkable woman, cheerful, easy going, kindhearted, sensitive, and caring. She will be missed far more than any words could possibly convey.
She is survived by her husband, Jack; three children, Ronald, Robert and Linda; one grandchild, Les; and three great-grandchildren, Sadee, Lacee, and Samee.
Graveside services will be held Monday, November 21, 12 noon, Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Avenue & 'N' Street. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Monday, 11-11:45 a.m. prior to services.
