How ironic. The attorney general of the United States was recently in the limelight "encouraging" those in charge of television programming to reduce the violence in their programs or else the government would have to do it for them. The most violent television program I've seen in recent memory was directed by this very same attorney general.
In the opening scenes, a surprise attack by heavily armed government agents was launched against a group of Branch Davidians at their home in Waco, Texas. The government invited TV cameras to be present so that millions of citizens could see their BATF in action on prime-time TV news.In the final scenes, played out under the direction of the attorney general, the vastly outnumbered Davidians, men, women and children, were seen under attack by government tanks. At least 85 people met a violent death that day as a result of this attack.
These were real people who really died, not actors who live to act another day as in the programs produced by private industry.
