A West Jordan man was in stable condition Saturday after his van was broadsided by a truck traveling north on 4800 West.

The driver of the van, 37-year-old Ming Leung, was ejected from his vehicle near 8369 South about 10:15 a.m. and a compressor from the back of the other vehicle landed on his head, West Jordan Police Officer Stacey Braley said.The incident remained under investigation as the van was facing east on the north-south road.

The driver of the pickup, John Toennis, 60, Magna, was not injured. Leung was transported to University Hospital via helicopter.
