I am sick and tired of hearing and seeing the state trying to weasel out of paying 100 percent of what is owed to federal retirees.
We don't have the option of paying only a portion of our state income tax. We cannot negotiate with the state to see if we can only pay 50 percent of what we owe them. Where does the state get off by saying they will only offer 50 percent of what they owe a private citizen?Gov. Mike Leavitt should pay the state's bills 100 percent if he expects 100 percent of our hard-earned tax dollars. Set the example, do the right thing.
Elections are a few years away, but this is one voter who will remember what the state is trying to do to the federal retirees.
