Kenneth Bennion Harker, age 81, died November 21, 1993 of cancer.
He was born in Taylorsville, Utah, a son of Joseph Henry and Minnie Bennion Harker. He married Rae Cook on June 2, 1937 in Taylorsville.Kenneth was reared and educated in Bingham Canyon and in Taylorsville, Utah. He graduated from Bingham High School and attended the University of Utah. He has since remained a rabid Ute fan. He passed away shortly after watching his favorite team beat BYU. Kenneth was also an avid golfer. He resided in Tooele for 46 years where he worked at the Tooele Army Depot, and has lived the last seven years in Washington, Utah.
Survivors include his wife, Rae of Washington; son, Kenneth A. Harker and wife Terri, St. George; twin daughters, Virginia H. Aldrich and husband John T., Barbara H. Jenson and husband Duane S., all of Salt Lake City; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother, Howard Harker and wife Melba, Copperton, Utah; and a special nephew, Keith Harker, Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 23, 1993, 3 p.m. at the Spilsbury Desert Rose Memorial Chapel, 58 North 100 East, St. George, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, Salt Lake City, where graveside services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. under the direction of the Spilsbury Desert Rose Mortuary.
