Dan Church, 81, died November 21, 1993 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born October 9, 1912 in Bingham Canyon, Utah to Eli and Sava Ugarak Church. Married Mamie Price in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 25, 1935.Retired from Kennecott Copper and after retirement, enjoyed working at the Ute Car Wash where he made many friends. He was an outstanding athlete at Bingham High, where he lettered all four years. Loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and taught many boys the Scouting program.

Enjoyed being with his grandsons fishing, and was proud of his granddaughters. He was a loving father, who taught his daughters the meaning of service, kindness, love and humor. He always treated his wife with love and respect. He loved his neighbors, and enjoyed their friendship for 40 years.

Survived by wife, Mamie, Midvale; daughters, Darlene (Earl) Nelson, Sandy; Colleen Nicholes, Layton; grandchildren, Robbe, Terri and Carrie Nelson; Pyper and Collin Nicholes; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Mariah, Cody and Cory; sisters, Jennie Sluga, Sophie Lucas; brother, Mike Churich; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services Wednesday, November 24, 1993, at 1 p.m. in the Goff Mortuary Chapel, 8090 South State, where friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., and Wednesday one hour prior to the services. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
