Dr. Gregory S. Brinton, Utah eye physician and surgeon, received the Honor Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology recently at the academy's annual meeting in Chicago.
One of the highest awards given by the academy, the Honor Award recognizes Brinton's outstanding contributions to the field of ophthalmology in both research and clinical practice.He has published research in surgical and laser techniques for diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachments and ocular trauma.
A specialist in diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous, Brinton has a private practice in Salt Lake City and Provo.
Brinton is also a clinical associate professor at the University of Utah and is a member of the Utah Ophthalmological Society, the Retina Society and the Vitreous Society.
