Genealogy and family history classes will be offered Sunday, Nov. 28, at the Utah Valley Regional Family History Center located on the fourth floor of Brigham Young University's Harold B. Lee Library.

The center is open every second and fourth Sunday of the month from 9 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. and daily from 8 to 9:45 p.m. The public is invited to attend the free classes taught by genealogy research consultants. To sign up for classes or for information, call 378-6200.A one-hour basic research class will begin at 2 p.m., which will teach students how to get started and be prepared for research. This will include setting up files, keeping notes, filling out pedigree charts and family group sheets, and locating sources in the home as well as from relatives and family friends.

An intermediate research class will be conducted at 10 a.m. The actual research process will be demonstrated using the information found in the basic research class. More in-depth research will be taught using additional resources.
